Return & Refund Policy of Mingyuan Lighting

This Return Policy applies to all lighting equipment orders placed with Mingyuan Lighting (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”). By placing an order with us, you fully acknowledge and accept the terms below.

1. Eligibility for Returns & Refunds

We accept returns or exchanges only under the following valid conditions:
  1. We shipped wrong models, wrong specifications, wrong color temperatures or wrong quantities as stated in your official order contract;
  2. Factory manufacturing defects confirmed by our technical team (light failure, abnormal heat dissipation, circuit damage within the product warranty period);
  3. Damages caused during shipping, with complete unboxing photos/videos provided within 48 hours after receiving goods.

Non-Returnable Situations

We do NOT approve return, exchange or refund requests for:
  • Custom-made lighting products (custom size, customized color, personalized printed logo, project tailor-made fixtures);
  • Goods returned without prior written confirmation from our sales team;
  • Damages caused by improper installation, man-made collision, wrong voltage use, unauthorized disassembly or long-term overloading;
  • Normal light attenuation after long-term use, scratches on surface that do not affect lighting function;
  • Orders cancelled after production has started or goods have been dispatched;
  • Bulk goods rejected simply due to personal preference, market demand changes or misjudgment of project design.

2. Time Limit for Return Application

  1. For shipping error / factory defective products: You must submit a return application with supporting photos, videos and order number within 15 calendar days upon receipt of cargo.
  2. For shipping damage claims: All evidence must be sent to us within 48 hours after delivery signature.
  3. Out-of-limit applications will not be processed for any return or compensation.

3. Return Process

Step 1: Contact your dedicated sales manager via email or WhatsApp, submit written return request + supporting evidence (unboxing video, defect pictures, shipping label).

Step 2: We review and issue an official Return Authorization Number (RA Number) within 3–5 working days if eligible.

Step 3: Repack the products with original packaging, attach the RA Number clearly on the outer carton, and ship back to the designated warehouse address we provide.

Step 4: We inspect returned goods within 7 working days after receiving the package. Once verified, we arrange replacement or refund as agreed.

Important Notice

Goods sent back without an official RA Number will be rejected and returned to you at your own cost.

4. Shipping Cost Responsibility

  1. Our fault (wrong item, factory defect): We cover the cost of resending replacement goods; the return freight of defective products shall be borne by us.
  2. Customer-initiated eligible returns (negotiated special circumstances): All return shipping fees, import duties, customs clearance charges shall be fully paid by the buyer.
  3. Shipping damage compensation: We will coordinate with logistics providers for loss compensation after receiving complete evidence.

5. Refund Rules

  1. If you choose a full refund after returned goods pass inspection: We will process the refund via your original payment method within 10 working days. Bank transfer or third-party payment processing delays are not within our control.
  2. Partial refund: For minor defective batches that you agree to keep without return, we offer partial price deduction as compensation based on negotiation.
  3. Deduction standard: If returned goods have packaging damage or minor wear, a reasonable restocking fee (5%–20% of unit price) will be deducted from the refund amount.

6. Product Exchange Service

Instead of refunds, you may request free replacement for defective or incorrectly shipped standard lighting products. We will produce and send new fixtures after we receive and inspect the returned faulty items. Customized items cannot be exchanged.

7. Warranty vs Return Policy

This return policy is independent of our product warranty:
  • Returns solve pre-installation problems such as shipping mistakes and factory defects before formal use;
  • The product warranty covers free spare parts replacement for functional failures within the warranty period, but does not support full goods return.

8. Policy Revision

Mingyuan Lighting reserves the right to update this Return Policy without prior notice. The latest version posted on our official website shall prevail for all new orders.
